Vision for Color Inspection

June 1, 2005
As the latest addition to the vendor’s Impact T-series intelligent camera family, the Impact T23 is designed to acquire and analyze color images in real time for 100 percent inspection of manufactured parts.

The Impact T23 can perform complex color inspections, rejecting products that fall outside of a preset color range. It can also be used for color-based sorting, color code verification and paint defect detection. The Impact T23 uses the Inspection Builder single-software platform used in all Impact products. Inspection Builder now contains powerful color image processing algorithms in combination with a broad range of gray scale algorithms, says the vendor, which allows the T23 to be used for color and grayscale image analysis simultaneously.
