Upgraded Vision Software

March 1, 2005
An upgrade to the vendor’s machine vision software, Intellect 1.1 combines new algorithms with a simplified user interface designed to be set up and operated by plant floor technicians.

New algorithms include an application-specific tool set dedicated to bead tracking, a Fixed Font reader, Feature Count function and Dynamic Scaling capabilities. User interface improvements include dockable windows, a Default Restore command and improved “snap-to-shape” drawing tools. The Bead Tracker is the first in a series of dedicated tools to be offered by the vendor; it inspects the continuity and consistency of adhesive applied to parts. The Fixed Font reader in Intellect 1.1 is faster and more robust than its predecessor, making it much easier to read standard fonts.
