Compact Industrial PCs

Feb. 1, 2005
The latest additions to the vendor’s family of Telemecanique industrial PCs are the Magelis Smart iPC, a thin client for Ethernet architectures, and the Magelis Compact iPC, which is designed for embedding in compact machines or enclosures.

The units are aimed at OEMs and industrial users who want leading-edge PC and touch screen technology in an extremely compact footprint. The Smart iPC is billed as one of the slimmest thin client displays on the market at a 67mm depth and height. Equipped with all components required for Ethernet architectures, the Transparent Ready Web-based display provides real-time data visualization using a Web browser, and can be bundled with FactoryCast applets for real-time data monitoring. The Compact iPC, at just 100mm deep, is well-suited for machine builders who want a high quality graphic interface with maximum ease of installation and integration. In addition to a basic, entry-level model, loaded only with Microsoft Windows 2000, the Compact iPC can be bundled with Telemecanique Vijeo Look SCADA software to create a ready-to-use, all-in-one HMI solution.
