The patented Zero Ground wire/cabling system solution is designed to reduce high frequency electrical ground noise to zero when used in conjunction with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) or with products containing IGBT switching power supplies.
The system has been tested by many third party agencies, and the U.S. Department of Labor Mining Safety and Health Administration has verified Zero Ground’s patent safety claims, according to the vendor. Besides reducing noise and reducing to zero the high frequency ground currents associated with IGBT switching transistors, Zero Ground also extends motor life, the vendor says. Zero Ground cables and conduits are UL Listed components and use standard industry fittings. They also are approved for use in Class I, Division II Hazardous applications.
George Reed, with the help of Factory Technologies, was looking to further automate the processes at its quarries and make Ignition an organization-wide standard.
Goodnight Midstream chose Ignition because it could fulfill several requirements: data mining and business intelligence work on the system backend; powerful Linux-based edge deployments...
