The PSEN 2.2 is a cylindrical, non-contact, magnetic safety switch that features a long switching distance of 8 mm. The PSEN 2.2 is intended for use in position monitoring and safety gate monitoring.
The benefits of the long switching distance on the PSEN 2.2 are high lateral offset, providing tolerant dimensions for installation, and insensitivity toward spring-back or swinging from safety gates. With the PSEN 2.2, the vendor can now supply a cylindrical safety switch in addition to the square version—the PSEN 2.1—providing mounting variation for more installation requirements. PSEN 2.2 also provides security against manipulation due to evasion protection in accordance with VDE 0660.
