Compact Terminals

April 1, 2004
OEMs and end users looking to pack maximum functionality into the smallest amount of space have two new options with the Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 400 and PanelView Plus 600 terminals.

Both terminals offer all of the standard preconfigured elements available with larger PanelView Plus models, but in a smaller size. The terminals also provide users with advanced functionality including animation, trending, data logging, and object math and logic expressions—all useful for improving operator efficiency, optimizing processes and diagnosing problems on the plant floor. PanelView Plus 400 and 600 terminals offer FSTN display that provides 32 levels of grayscaling at 320x240 QVGA resolution. For color applications, the PanelView Plus 600 also provides an optional color active matrix TFT at 320x240 QVGA resolution. Keypad input terminals are provided, and PanelView Plus 600 users can also specify an analog resistive touch screen or combination keypad/touch. A USB port and compact flash card slot are standard, while RS-232, onboard Ethernet networking and an interface that allows simultaneous communications with multiple networks are available.
