The DIA53 Series is a self-contained, 100 Amp current monitor in compact housing with a solid-state output. It is geared to applications where it is required to know if a load is active or not and provide this information to an indicator or programmable controller for further processing.
In the past, it was necessary to use an auxiliary power supply and a current transformer. The DIA53 is packaged in a DIN rail-mount housing, 17.5 mm wide with a 12 mm through-hole. It is self-powered and capable of monitoring up to 100A ac with an isolated transistor output. Current monitoring ranges are available for: 2-20A, 5-50A and 10-100A ac. To minimize inventory, it can be wired for NPN or PNP switching. A red LED visually indicates an alarm condition.
George Reed, with the help of Factory Technologies, was looking to further automate the processes at its quarries and make Ignition an organization-wide standard.
Goodnight Midstream chose Ignition because it could fulfill several requirements: data mining and business intelligence work on the system backend; powerful Linux-based edge deployments...
