New interfaces, more options and additional XML Web services are added in Version 6.2 of the vendor’s AMS Suite, an integrated family of applications for predictive maintenance, performance monitoring and economic optimization.
AMS Suite includes AMS Asset Portal, through which managers can view current and historical data on the condition of their assets to expedite decision-making. XML Web services introduced with AMS Device Manager 6.2 enable AMS Asset Portal to access Foundation fieldbus devices connected to the vendor’s DeltaV process automation system. Other enhancements in AMS Device Manager 6.2 include: an interface that allows easy communication with the vendor’s 375 Field Communicator; support for documenting calibrators manufactured by Beta Calibrators; and an enhanced Stahl HART interface that supports the Stahl IS pac 9192 multiplexer.
