Updated Planning/Manufacturing Software

Jan. 18, 2011
New updates to the Tecnomatix 9 planning and manufacturing software offer advanced productivity for aerospace and defense industries, improved operator safety and simplified factory knowledge management.

Last year saw a good number of product simulation introductions and it looks like 2011 may be no different. Utilizing the "process simulate human" component of the software, new Chinese, German and Indian anthropometric data provides the ability to scale human models for the assessment of operations in those 3 respective countries. The "simulate human component" offers digital environments with virtual people to simulate real factory applications. Also, through its "process simulate" on Teamcenter, the software can output simulations in a PDF file with interactive 3D and embedded work instructions.

Other updates include an enhanced bill of materials (BOM) management component that allows you to filter rules and provide a more flexible environment for when new products are created by engineering.

In plant design, the factory products offer full support for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures and for the AutoCAD/AutoCAD Architecture 2010-2011 releases.
