Demonstrated at the SPS/IPC/Drive 2010 show in Nurember, Germany, the company releases its OPC-UA Embedded Device Server Software Stack.
The server software stack features no software limits on the number of sessions or subscriptions, fully configurable UA address encapsulated within the module, fits on any 32-bit MCU with 64KB RAM, no knowledge of OPC-UA is required, available as a C linkable binary distribution for ARM Cortex-M3 MCU and implements the micro embedded device server profile. Starting in January 2011, the stack will be available for license.
"OPC-UA is the future for standardized, multi-platform device connectivity," says Shane Robinson, Commercial Director Embedded Labs. Embedded Labswww.embeddedlabs.comOPC Foundationwww.opcfoundation.org
