Video Case Study: Omron Vision Solution Cuts Candy Bar Waste

A case study shows how Omron reduced waste by over 90 percent using a vision system to inspect wafers before they become BIS candy bars, a layered confection of wafer and chocolate.

By installing two cameras and one vision sensor (model F160) per line, Lacta was able to inspect each wafer slab for these problems:

- Holes in Wafer Board
- Burned spots or Impurities
- Check for any possible breaks in center and bad formation
