Inverter Drives for Motion Control

June 30, 2011
HighLine model inverter drives have been added to the company’s L-Force 8400 line of inverter drives for motion control.
Designed for positioning applications, the HighLine model features integrated point-to-point positioning for up to 15 position destinations, and stores the corresponding travel profiles directly in the inverter. HighLine reportedly delivers to up 200 percent rated torque and positioning accuracies of 0.1-0.2mm at 60 operations (120 movements) per second. Integrated components result in the need for less cabling and a smaller panel size, according to the company. Built-in advanced functionality includes linear and S-shaped travel profiles, a touch probe function, and homing selectable function from 14 modes. Standard features include CANopen communications on board with baud rate up to 1000 Kbit/s. Optional communication modules are available for Profibus, EtherCAT and Profinet fieldbuses.
