Universal Gateway Adds Flexibility

Nov. 5, 2009
More than 70 additional conversions between real-time Ethernet systems, traditional fieldbuses and serial protocols have been added for the netTAP 100 universal gateway.

A scripting tool has also been added that can be used to create gateways for custom serial protocols to more than 60 different industry standard protocols supported by the product line. The addition of this tool is designed to make the product line more flexible for users to do customized developments. netTAP is a universal gateway with Master or Slave support for EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, EtherCat, Profinet, CANopen, PowerLink, SERCOS III, MB-TCP, Modbus RTU/ASCII, AS-I Master and CC-Link slave, along with custom serial protocols.
