PHD, Inc. revolutionized pneumatic actuators with the innovative Tom Thumb Cylinder over 55 years ago. Today, PHD is setting the standard in industrial automation with a new product line that broadens its range of product offerings and provides customers even more choices.

Built on the foundation of long-life products for industrial automation, PHD Optimax™ products are actuators designed to meet machine builders’ performance requirements at a competitive price. These economical, efficient, and reliable actuators provide customers with an alternative choice to PHD’s standard “built-to-order” product line, delivering even more solutions to meet industrial application needs.

To introduce the Optimax product line, PHD proudly presents the Optimax Series OCV Pneumatic ISO Cylinder. The Series OCV is designed to be extremely versatile and economical for use in any industry. It is PHD’s lower price alternative to the PHD Series CV Pneumatic ISO Cylinder, which has more options and longer cycle life. The Series OCV is available in 32, 40, and 50 mm bore sizes and stroke lengths are available in 25, 50, 100, and 200 mm.

The Series OCV features cushion controls to reduce impact at end of stroke, and a rod bearing and piston wear ring also provide support and smooth cycling. The Series OCV also features a self-compensating rod seal and wiper. To simplify installation and provide for interchangeability, the OCV has ISO mounting.
