The Micro Motion G-Series Coriolis mass flow and density meter from Emerson comes in a smaller and lighter form than previous models. Compared to traditional volumetric flow meters, it provides direct mass flow measurement, immunity to process temperature and pressure changes, as well as process and health diagnostics. Connection to host systems is available via a combination of discrete and 4-20mA HART signals or via digital connections. The Micro Motion G-Series meter comes in six sizes ranging from .25 in to 3 in. Emerson has also released the Micro Motion 4700 Coriolis Transmitter, which can be retrofitted to most existing Micro Motion sensors and ordered with all new meters, including the new Micro Motion G-Series. The transmitter is also equipped with a Bluetooth connectivity option with a reach of up up to 50 feet.
