Aerotech’s new Automation1 XA4 servo drive series includes the Automation1 XA4 1- or 2-Axis PWM servo drive and the Automation1 iXA4 1- or 2-Axis PWM servo drive with motion controller. Both drives feature a compact, streamlined design, I/O expansion options and panel mounting. The XA4 comes with the Automation1 motion control platform and communicates to Automation1 PC- and drive-based controller products over the HyperWire motion bus. It supports multiple feedback device types and includes on-board memory for data capture and process control. The iXA4 eliminates the need for an industrial PC by allowing for control of 12 HyperWire axes of motion while running up to nine user tasks on the embedded Automation1 controller. As a drive, the iXA4 also supports multiple feedback device types and includes on-board memory for data capture and process control.
