Training for New Supervisors

May 6, 2009
Supervisor Essentials is a series of training classes for first-time supervisors that includes training topics such as effective communication, leadership principles, performance management, conflict resolution and basic cost accounting.
Unlike traditional “soft skills” training, the course is tailored specifically to a manufacturing audience, with shop-specific visuals and examples in the content. “Based on what we heard from our customers, a number of new supervisors are promoted from shop-floor positions. They have the technical skills, but they need a solid overview of the softer skills. We designed these classes with that dynamic in mind,” says Greg Herlevi, director of content at the vendor.Tooling Universitywww.toolingu.com866.706.8665
