Ethernet Component Line Expands

July 1, 2006
New additions to the line of industrially tough Telemecanique Connexium network components include an IP67 Ethernet switch for demanding environments, unmanaged Ethernet switches with expanded temperature ratings and an Ethernet gateway.

The direct-mount Connexium IP67 Ethernet switches meet switching requirements for use in harsh environments and can be directly installed onto machines in plant floor or outdoor environments. The Connexium unmanaged Ethernet switches now feature -40ºC to +70ºC extended temperature operation, meaning that OEMs and facility managers can now use a mixture of managed and unmanaged switches without concern for temperature. The Connexium TSXETG100 Ethernet gateway is designed to provide easy connectivity from any Modbus serial line compatible device on the factory floor or remote location into an Ethernet-based communication network.
