The latest version of the vendor’s 7i Asset Performance Management System is designed to enable public sector, utility, oil & gas, transportation and other organizations to improve efficiency and reduce costs associated with maintaining geographically dispersed capital assets.
7i builds on extensive integration with ESRI’s ArcGIS suite of products with enhanced linear asset-management capabilities and improved data management. The new linear asset capability enables users to segment assets both for specifying maintenance work orders and for performing cost analysis. In addition, users can seamlessly access GIS data from 7i, or access asset data from within ArcGIS to gain comprehensive information on asset location, history and characteristics. This enables more effective management and optimization of all assets, including pipes, roads, rails and utility lines, as well as the fixed assets that occupy those linear networks.
