The AE IP69K enclosures meet the rigid protective requirements of the IP69K rating, to serve applications in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, vehicle control boxes and offshore petrochemical, where high-pressure washdowns are required and elevated water/solvent temperatures are typical.
The IP69K test was designed for rating protection against a high-pressure jet stream (1160 to 1450 psi), high liquid temperature (176º F) and close nozzle distances (3.9 in. to 5.9 in.) from the enclosure surface. AE Series enclosures are designed with aluminum zinc as a base material, followed by polyester powder coat painting. This combination of materials provides a high level of corrosion protection and a lower weight when compared to stainless steel.
