Lean, Six Sigma Seminar Set for Dallas

Senior executives, as well as professionals from manufacturing and services, are invited to attend “Discovering the Reality of Lean Six Sigma,” scheduled for Dec.

2-3 in Dallas. The event highlights industry sessions, workshops and discussion groups centered on applying the quality methodologies of Six Sigma with the speed-of-business processes of Lean Manufacturing in a combined approach designed to maximize bottom-line returns.

Attendees may choose among focused tracks for manufacturing, healthcare, services and transactional environments. Specific industries represented include: consumer goods, automotive, pharmaceuticals, energy, aerospace and defense, and medical devices.

The event kicks off with a keynote address by Denis Gallagher, worldwide director of Lean thinking for the Consumer & Personal Care Group of Johnson & Johnson, with headquarters in New Brunswick, N.J. Gallagher will present a case study on how to successfully leverage the best of Lean and Six Sigma in a single initiative, giving key insights into the pitfalls and benefits, based on his pioneering experiences at Johnson & Johnson.

The seminar will also offer streamed sessions for beginners/early adopters and intermediate/advanced deployers of Lean and Six Sigma strategies. These sessions will focus on case studies and moving beyond the “low-hanging fruit.”

Pre-conference workshops will be offered on Dec. 1, and will cover variation reduction, conquering complexity, and building a measurement system to reduce cycle times.
