Belt Scale for Custody Transfer

Feb. 14, 2007
The Milltronics BW500 belt scale integrator received National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) Certification of Conformance for weighing and measuring devices from the National Conference on Weights and Measures.
With NTEP approval, the BW500, in conjunction with the NTEP Approved Milltronics-brand MMI belt scale, can now be used in custody transfer applications in the U.S. The Milltronics BW500 Integrator replaces the Milltronics CompuScale III for applications that require NTEP approval. The BW500/MMI is the only dual idler belt scale system available for applications requiring NTEP approval, says the vendor. Because other systems need three, four or six idlers to accomplish the same approval, the BW500/MMI system costs approximately 15 percent to 20 percent less.
