Using MES/MOM to Streamline Production Complexity

June 18, 2014
Virtual Presentation: A look at how Johnson Controls' Lithium-ion battery plant uses MES/MOM software to simplify complex production processes.

A few years ago, Johnson Controls launched the first-in-the-US plant to supply Lithium-Ion batteries for hybrid and electric vehicles. To make these products, this plant has clean rooms and dry rooms and requires strict traceability reporting. In the face of this production complexity, Johnson Controls realized the plant needed a comprehensive manufacturing operations management program. In his presentation at The Automation Conference 2014, Dave Gaylord, global MES solution architect for Johnson Controls Power Solutions, explained how Johnson Controls succeeded with this approach using GE Intelligent Platforms' software and why manufacturing operations management is now integral to the plant’s operations. See Dave's presentation from the conference below.
