Allied debuts Online Product Reviews

Feb. 13, 2007
Customer reviews have been a staple on consumer Web sites such as Amazon.com for years. But in the world of automation, Allied Electronics (www.alliedelec.com) contends that its recent addition of online customer product reviews makes it “the first and only catalog distributor in the industry with this unique Web feature.”
“The customer product review feature is another way for Allied to interact with our customers,” says Dan Stewart, Allied e-commerce manager. “Engineers will now be able to rate products and provide feedback. The customer product
reviews will prove beneficial to other engineers looking for the best product to fit their needs.”

Customers are required to sign in to post a review and to adhere to the established product review guidelines. The new feature is one of many recent changes to the Allied Web site designed to give customers the richest experience possible, the company says.
