Digi International Combines Technologies for Industrial Infrastructure Management
Machine-to-machine networking supplier Digi International has combined two technology services for secure industrial infrastructure management — the Digi Axess mobile app and the Digi Axess VPN Service.
The aim of this tech combination is to enable industrial teams to monitor, control, and secure critical systems from anywhere at any time. The Digi Access mobile app allows for industrial control from a mobile device and is designed for field teams in industries such as oil and gas and water/wastewater. The app enables instant oversight and rapid response, according to Digi International.
Key features include instant configuration to adjust sensors in seconds; instant alerts; mobile troubleshooting; enterprise-grade security; and full mobile access to systems to reduce desktop dependance.
Digi International added that its VPN service offers secure, scalable connectivity without reliance on public static IPs. This service also supports the Digi Z45 Industrial Controller to help users maximize uptime. Other key features include VPN tunnel failover and cost-effective remote deployment.
