RS Group, a distributor of industrial electronics and maintenance products, has selected Siemens Digital Industries Software’s electronic design automation (EDA) technology for its new, cloud-native DesignSpark Circuit Simulator tool. According to RS Group, this new tool provides a “comprehensive environment to design, model, simulate and analyze electronic and mechatronic circuits and systems.”
Siemens’ PartQuest software is used in the DesignSpark Circuit Simulator tool to support analog, digital, mixed-signal and multi-domain designs.
DesignSpark is offered for three different user groups:
• Explorer—for students and makers.
• Creator—for mechanical designers to create complex CAD designs, rapid iteration and prototyping.
• Engineer—for use by electronic engineers in designing printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Related DesignSpark software packages address specific mechanical, circuit simulator and PCB development needs.
AJ Incorvaia, senior vice president of electronic board systems at Siemens Digital Industries Software, said, “The DesignSpark Circuit Simulator offers robust circuit design and simulation resources to a DesignSpark community eager for advanced technology and solutions that help realize more end products in a collaborative environment that facilitates peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.”
