Columbia/Okura makes its miniPal palletizing cobot available for rent in the U.S.

Columbia/Okura, a supplier of end-of-line automation systems, has launched its new miniPal cobot rental program to provide a flexible and scalable approach to automating repetitive palletizing tasks.

This minimum three-month rental program includes an initiation fee, which includes outbound shipping and deployment, monthly billing, basic operator training and Columbia/Okura’s Pally palletizing software.

“By offering a rental option, we're empowering businesses of all sizes to adopt collaborative robotics and boost their productivity without significant upfront costs,” said Michael Stuyvesant, sales and marketing director at Columbia/Okura. “This innovative solution addresses the growing need for flexible and affordable automation."

The pre-configured miniPal 20 system offered in this rental program for quick deployment has a 44-lb. load capacity, a 10-ft x 11-ft footprint, can handle 48-in. x 48-in. maximum pallet size with 80-in. load height. The system delivers up to eight picks per minute. The vacuum style end effector on the system is designed to handle various product types.
