In terms of robot movement control, MujinOS uses motion planning algorithms that generate real-time, collision-free paths. This motion planning component includes automatic recovery capabilities and obstacle avoidance functionality. Orchestration capabilities within MujinOS handle task scheduling, prioritization and execution across the robotic system. This orchestration feature reportedly adapts to system constraints and changing operational requirements to ensure coordination between multiple robots and system components.
These capabilities of MujinOS enable Mujin’s integrator partners to remove traditional barriers to automation by eliminating the need for custom programming, manual calibration and rigid system design, said Mujin in its release announcing the integrator partner program. “With MujinOS, integrators can rapidly design and deploy advanced automation applications, including palletizing, depalletizing, bin picking and mobile robot coordination while expanding into more complex and dynamic use cases that were previously too difficult or time-consuming to automate.”
The initial group of Mujin integrator partners includes Applied Manufacturing Technologies, C&B Material Handling, Convergix, Conveyco, CRG Automation, Honeywell Intelligrated, Mesh Automation and RG Group.
To ensure the partners’ success with MujinOS, Mujin has developed a hands-on training program that brings integrator teams up to speed in Mujin’s dedicated training center in addition to dedicated, ongoing support from Mujin’s technical team.
Mujin continues to expand this partner program and is seeking new relationships with experienced robotics system integrators, material handling integrators and high-tech distributors.
