The robot's controls are fully embedded into its base, saving floor space and reducing installation costs and complexity. The unit features a hygienic design that minimizes contamination risks, including a standard IP65 rating and corrosion resistant materials for easy wash down. It can be programmed using application software created specifically for the packaging market, or directly from a PLC, minimizing training and deployment time by using familiar ladder logic programming languages (IEC 61131-3). The robot's extended vertical reach allows for a 0.36 cubic meter (12.7 sq ft) workspace, allowing a wider variety of packages to be used, while its 52 kg (115 lb) total weight simplifies overhead installation. Options include the company's SmartVision MX platform for machine vision and guidance, and ACE PackXpert software for deploying complete packaging automation solutions.
