Toolkit update simplifies OPC UA development

Softing has announced the availability of a new version of its industry-leading OPC UA development kits.

The design goals for version 5.10 included to further enhance the supported functionality while at the same time reduce the complexity of developing conformant OPC UA products.

Softing OPC UA Toolkit V5.10 is platform independent and flexible. It supports the following operating systems out-of-the-box, Windows XP, Vista, 7, Server 2003, and Server 2008. It allows the choice of .NET or C++ Interface and directly integrates with Microsoft's Visual Studio development tools. The platform also supports Linux and VxWorks.

OPC UA technology has a simple application interface and is secured with protection against data manipulation.

More than 1,600 companies currently rely on Softing's OPC development kits to generate thousands of compliant OPC products and embedded OPC technology into industrial components.
