Gateways Connect CANopen Networks

Jan. 12, 2011
The vendor's X-gateway family of networking products has been expanded to include 10 newly designed CANopen master gateways in small slim-line housing.
These gateways allow any CANopen-enabled device with slave functionality to communicate with almost any other fieldbus or industrial Ethernet network. The gateway series includes versions for all popular fieldbuses. Typical applications are CANopen-based networks that need to be integrated into higher functional fieldbus or industrial Ethernet networks. On the CANopen side, they always function as a master (manager), while they work as slaves (servers) on the uplink network side. The implementation is based on an HMS NP30 microprocessor and is certified by CAN in Automation (CIA) for full conformance to the CANopen DS 301 v4.0.2 standard.
