Designed for high-speed packaging applications where space is at a premium, the 1FT7 series of synchronous servo motors are billed as the first servo motors with encoders that can be replaced in the field without encoder/motor shaft alignment.
Designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, the encoder withstands shocks up to 30 m/s2. As a medium-inertia motor designed for general motion control applications, the 1FT7 series has a higher overload capability (4xM0 self-cooled) and a 10 percent to 20 percent lower moment of inertia than its predecessor, the 1FT6. This leads to an excellent dynamic response, ideal for pick-and-place applications, says the vendor. The 1FT7 motors are available in five shaft heights from 36mm to 100mm, providing rated torque between 1.4Nm to 61Nm (1 to 45 lb-ft) at rated speeds between 1,500 to 6,000 rpm.
