GigE Cameras Feature PoE

Nov. 1, 2008
A new line of GigE cameras is specially designed to provide power over the Cat6 Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for a separate power cable.

TXG Series Cameras with PoE simplify the mechanical design and reliability of a vision system, says the vendor, especially for robotic applications in which each additional cable can cause long-term problems. A specially developed industrial power injector module or Ethernet switch provides power down the Cat6 Ethernet cable at distances up to 100 meters. TXG20 Cameras with PoE feature high-speed multi-camera operation and frame rates of up to 90 frames per second with resolutions from VGA to 5Meg.
