The vendor’s X20 slice I/O series now includes a Stand-alone Ethernet hub system.
The modular design of the active hub allows it to be used as a 2x, 4x or 6x hub, with a 2x hub extending Ethernet sections up to 200m. Besides standard Ethernet, the modular hub system can also be expanded with an X20 Bus controller module with an integrated 2x hub for Ethernet Powerlink, which supports all standard topologies. This allows remote I/O to be connected directly to the hub. The real-time capability is optimally adapted to meet the requirements of machine design, says the vendor.
