Safety Accelerator Toolkit

June 16, 2008
The Safety Accelerator Toolkit allows automation users and manufacturers to focus on optimizing machine safety and intellectual property by providing all of the tools needed to design, install, operate, and maintain safety systems.

The toolkit is specifically designed to help companies lower the total cost of ownership of safety systems. Inside the toolkit, users will find an easier-to-use system design, programming, and diagnostic tools to assist in the rapid development and deployment of safety systems using Rockwell Automation’s GuardLogix Controller, Guard I/O, and Safety Devices. The Safety Accelerator Toolkit includes a risk assessment and system design guide, hardware selection guide, CAD drawings, safety logic routines, and operator status and diagnostic faceplates.

The Toolkit’s safety module configurations and logic libraries for CAT compliance help streamline development time and reduce costs while providing uniformity. For example, by leveraging the Safety I/O display templates in the Toolkit, users can reduce integration costs and improve time to market. Additionally, preconfigured faceplates include status and diagnostic information to help increase automation performance and reduce downtime. Further, safety module configurations and logic libraries for CAT compliance help streamline development time and reduce cost while providing uniformity.
