Compact Integrated Servo Module

June 6, 2008
The IndraDrive Mi combines drive, servo motor and control technology into one compact unit to address applications that require both maximum flexibility and minimum space requirements.

The compact control electronics of the IndraDrive Mi use the lateral surface of the servo motor as a cooling element, thus reducing the total unit size by more than 50 percent compared to traditional servo drive solutions, and by up to 30 percent when compared even with other integrated drive/motor solutions, says the vendor. To speed and simplify installation, it uses a single cable for its power supply and communication via SERCOS interface.
