Plug-and-play GigE Cameras

May 8, 2008
TXG series Gigabit Ethernet cameras feature data transfer rates of up to 1000Mbit/sec and cable length of up to 100 meters, with GigE surpassing previous technologies such as FireWire and USB.

A small and rugged design, as well as low power consumption, make TXG series cameras suitable for most industrial applications. Thirteen TXG Gigabit Ethernet camera models are available, with resolutions from VGA to 5 megapixel in monochrome and color versions. With their conformity to GigE Vision, the cameras are “plug-and-play” with the supplied driver software as well as with established image processing solutions. A newly-developed generic programming GAPI interface bridges the gap to individual software packages. With this interface, all of the vendor’s FireWire and Gigabit Ethernet cameras can be controlled on one PC, using the same software, regardless of interface.
