PC/OPC Server Plugs into ControlLogix

Dec. 12, 2007
The PC56-OPC is an in-rack PC with OPC server for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix processors.

It is capable of maintaining tight control of operations requiring high processing speeds by using two Ethernet ports to access data and then by bringing this data directly to the ControlLogix backplane. In addition to adding to the efficiency and reliability of an operation, the PC56-OPC can integrate into an existing ControlLogix rack without requiring modification of the controller program. The module’s design allows for a simple installation and improved performance, while eliminating the need for costly middleware. For added reliability and seamless process, users may place multiple modules into a single rack to support a redundant network.
