Fast Gigabit Ethernet Camera

Feb. 14, 2007
As the vendor’s fastest CCD camera to date, the GE680 camera runs 200-plus frames per second at VGA resolution and even faster at lower resolutions—up to 1500 fps when using a 25x25 region-of-interest.
The GE680’s Gigabit Ethernet interface is capable of sustained data rates of 125 megabytes per second. As with all of the vendor’s Gigabit Ethernet cameras, the GE680 complies with the AIA GigE Vision interface standard. Gigabit Ethernet cameras operate over standard Cat5e Ethernet cable of lengths up to 100 meters long. Much longer distances are also possible with the use of off-the-shelf Gigabit Ethernet switches or with the use of fiber optics. Prosilica Inc.www.prosilica.com604.875.8855
