Link Factory To Enterprise

June 1, 2003
The Ethernet TCP/IP Programmable Fieldbus Controller (PFC), part number 750-841, features 100 Mbits/sec Ethernet, IEC 61131-3 programming and is equipped with open architecture software interfaces and protocols for linking factory processes to enterprise information systems.

The 32-bit RISC processor-based unit comes with 512KB program memory, 128KB data memory and 24KB retentive memory. Flash memory program storage ensures system integrity on recovery from power failure. The PFC can interface to multiple enterprise information architecture platforms and provides support for Web-based applications. Capabilities include e-mailing information directly from the PFC, serving up Web pages and generating remote procedure calls using Simple Object Access Protocol.
