Cooling Systems for Outdoor Enclosures

Aug. 17, 2012
The McLean Direct Air Cooling Systems protect electronic components in outdoor applications.

An alternative to closed loop cooling for a wide range of applications, the coolers use quiet fan-based technology to draw filtered ambient air into the enclosure to dissipate heat, enhancing the operation of sensitive electronic components. System are available in sizes from 29 to 56 inches high and with Hydrophobic GORE filters, which are permeable to air while simultaneously preventing water and other corrosive particles from infiltrating the enclosures. Filtration using MERV 12 pleated filters is also available. Units can be customized to suit many applications, and models are available in aluminum, stainless steel and diverse paint options to complement individual enclosures. Power input options are 24 VDC, 48 VDC, 115 VAC and 230 VAC. Cooling performance is 85-94 W/°F (152-170 W/°C).
