Sept. 24, 2012
This year’s Yokogawa User Group Conference and Exhibition, located at the Hyatt Regency hotel, New Orleans, highlights the theme of “Integrated Solutions for a Sustainable Future.”

A major component of this year's event is the platform and solutions sessions, which touch upon these topics: flow solutions; asset management systems; advanced analytics; temperature and pressure technology; and applications and networking solutions with ISA 100.1a and others.

The keynote sessions will feature Richard Sear of Frost and Sullivan on mega trends and the effects of these on the process industry. Peter Reynolds, ARC Advisory Group, will also give a keynote presentation on process automation system lifecycle management, along with Ian Nimmo, User Centered Design Services Inc., on advances in operator performance using HMIs.

Also, user break out sessions happen in the afternoon each day and the second day includes an Ask the Expert and Meet the Expert session. The event also offers four pre-event workshops with applications and new technical reports centering around ISA 99, ISA 106, ISA 101 and a segment titled: Enterprise Control System Integrations - Practical Applications of ISA 95.
