Fuji Electric Corp. of America announced today that they have obtained UL Certification on their line of cost-effective HMI displays for the worldwide market.

Fuji Electric Corp. of America announced today that they have obtained UL Certification on their line of cost-effective HMI displays for the worldwide market. The MONITOUCH TECHNOSHOT Series began shipping in June 2013, and features enhanced CPU for faster response times along with the industry's thinnest structure, measuring only 36mm thick. The certification by UL broadens the market for this series, which is ideal for a variety of applications including packaging and compressors.

"Fuji Electric strives to offer products that achieve the highest levels of certification and conformity to local standards, and the TECHNOSHOT is no exception," said Thomas Bopp, Fuji Electric's General Manager of HMI products. "Our efficient manufacturing processes and advanced engineering capabilities enabled us to develop an economical HMI product for the global market, and obtaining UL certification on the series was always part of this product's roadmap."

The UL-Certified TECHNOSHOT Series is available in a 7" and 10" screen size, and features an eco-friendly LED backlight with a sleek, slim structure. All models come standard with two USB interfaces, allowing better connectivity to peripheral devices. Customers will enjoy the convenience of TECHNOSHOT's simple installation, as well as its remote monitoring and maintenance capabilities due to the on-board Ethernet port. The switch from QVGA (320x240) to a WVGA (800x480) is a significant improvement, resulting in a resolution that is 5 times higher than previous models.

"The addition of the TECHNOSHOT Series offered our customers a strong value for multiple applications," added Bopp. "The development of these new products, and our recent certification by UL, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to customers and their evolving needs, as it strikes an optimal balance between price and performance."
