Industrial HMI (Human Machine Interface) provider, WEINTEK USA,
INC., is pleased to introduce their latest solution for the HMI workspace, the MT8103iE HMI, incorporating a
secure, safe, seamless built in Wi-Fi capability designed for harsh and/or IIoT environments.
Real time access to the HMI from upstream monitoring or control centers has been handled up until now by the
Ethernet interface. Unfortunately it is not always easy and sometimes it is virtually impossible to install an Ethernet
wiring connection between on-site machines and the appropriate management center. Building on the
overwhelmingly successful foundation of the Ethernet-integrated MT8100i, wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) connectivity was
the next evolutionary step.
The MT8103iE HMI solution provides a Wi-Fi communication link that is compliant with the 802.11b/g/n wireless
communication standard and therefore offers a secure connection via WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, allowing the HMI to
collect and send data in a safe and secure protocol that is both efficient and accurate. The MT8103iE also contains
an Ethernet port to provide the required PLC/controller connection. While lighter and slimmer than the MT8100i
the MT8103iE provides a 10.1 inch higher resolution, wider viewing angle and longer life (50,000 hours) display.
Additionally since the EasyAccess 2.0 license is included, there is no need to pay for an activation card.
When the engineers connect to the MT8103iE through a wireless router, they can download their HMI projects
directly to the HMI and operate it via VNC or remote HMI mode without physically contacting the device in any
way. The ability to communicate wirelessly with the HMI to introduce or modify programming, to test, monitor,
troubleshoot or debug the HMI is a revolutionary step in the evolution of the machine control space.
