Two of the biggest challenges engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies have long faced are reducing project costs and keeping pace with changing IT environments. On-premise configuration and hosting of technology solutions within private networks has been the traditional approach for EPCs. But in light of new technology developments, this traditional approach is increasingly viewed as adding excessive costs to projects on top being a more restrictive and unsustainable method.

- Project-specific functionality: This enables EPCs to view and work on projects in AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management as stand-alone entities;
- Updated catalogs and specification module: Migration of Worley’s legacy corporate catalog and specifications to create a robust, easy-to-use model for EPCs; and a
- Training solution: Allows EPCs to streamline internal training on the new platform.
Though Worley will begin its first official project rollout on the AVEVA Enterprise Resource Management solution for EPCs this month, testing with select customers has already shown success—reducing training time across engineering, procurement, and project controls by 23%. Participants in the test program also noted the solution was easy to use and provides quality training materials and the right functionality for EPC projects.
