The technology generates its own energy, internal electronics are protected from contamination and condensation, and is 100 percent maintenance free, according to the company. This current edition offers a Profibus interface, with EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT coming soon. Applications include motion control, robotics, warehousing and packaging. For packaging, the device can be used for applications such as palletizing, bag forming, filling and sealing machines.
