The system features a new extensible security event detection-definition engine that identifies updated threat signatures. The product's policy signature database is now separate and no longer embedded in the server software, providing users the opportunity to share their own signatures in real-time and to the security community.
Other enhancements include Enhanced Rogue-On-the-Wire detection, which offers increased speed and accuracy for the detection of rogue access points on a enterprise network. The system can also access signal-level information from Cisco controlled-based AP infrastructure that allows for accurate floor plan mapping using only one sensor for device detection.
