All We Really Need Is Girls

Nov. 20, 2013
Move beyond the pink toys and let girls know that engineering is another route they could go with their lives beyond maiden princess.

Nothing floats my boat like a good Rube Goldberg contraption. Add to it a catchy tune and some feisty girls who know that they won’t be held back by a limited color palette, and, well…I’ll let the video speak for itself (below).

I think the folks at GoldieBlox may be on to something here. The proof will be in how well consumers react. For now, I think the song says it best: "Girls. That’s all we really need is girls. To bring us up to speed is girls. Our opportunity is girls. Don’t underestimate girls. Girls, to grow up knowing that they can engineer that!"
