Teknikor was born in 2010 from the merger of four companies (Gemco, ECS, Action Energy and PFP. With this merger, each company became a division of Teknikor: Gemco became Teknikor Contracting; ECS became Teknikor Automation and Controls; Action Energy became Teknikor Energy Solutions; and PFP became Teknikor Electrical Maintenance and Testing.
