Fieldbus Foundation Updates H1 Interoperability Test Kit

Oct. 12, 2011
Interoperability test tool update addresses bugs with the NI-FBUS Communciation Manager software.
Used for fieldbus devices, the updated H1 Interoperability Test Kit (ITK) 6.0.1 is now available to members holding an active maintenance agreement. While addressing issues related to the NI-FBUS Communication Manager software, the updated test kit also provides miscellaneous bug fixes to H1 device test cases. Developed by the Karlsruhe, Germany-based Fraunhofer Institute, a leading authority on communication and network testing software, the H1 ITK consists of a test engine, communication stack and function block interface card. The test kit includes all hardware and software required to ensure complete device interoperability as specified by the Fieldbus Foundation's official registration test procedure. The use of the HI ITK allows manufacturers to run the identical tests used by the foundation for certification.  > Have more questions about the tool kit, go to FF’s FAQ page The test kit can also be paired with an ITK Automation Tool, which eliminates several manual intervention steps required when performing pre-registration testing of fiedlbus devices. Additional benefits include ITK schedule efficiency and provides a direct reduction in the person hours needed to complete the testing phase. Fieldbus Foundation www.fieldbus.org
